When I was 6 years old I visited England for the first time and stayed the summer in Forrest Hill, London. We traded houses with another family, and spent 8 weeks exploring England. It was that summer than I became a full-blown Anglophile & was completely obsessed with Europe in general. The fashion, attitude & grit shaped me as a person from then on.
Flash forward ten years: I’m getting ready to go to college & am completely obsessed with the Arctic Monkeys, Brian Duffy’s badass 60s photography, Allison Mosshart, David Bowie’s mismatched eyeballs, Hedi Slimane back when he was doing Dior Homme, you know.. I even have an Alexa Chung drawing tattooed on my thigh.
You know I tried to get into every university in England, but it wasn’t meant to be. But it’s chill, this is so much more than I ever could have hoped for. I know we’re launching in all of Europe today, but England has had my heart for the entirety of my conscious life- and now you really do have a piece of my heart. Lmfao, cheezy, but it’s honestly true.
